Introduction
Reignwood Group is a leading independent Chinese investment company, based in Hong Kong with an international portfolio of global brands and growth companies, including Ten Trinity Square, the landmark, former HQ of the Port of London Authority, in the City of London.
The client’s requirement was for an opulent scheme that would impress its visiting international investors and VIP guests.
The Brief
When we met with the President of Reignwood Investments UK his plan was to relocate his team to the 2nd floor of 55 Mark Lane from More London. The requirement was for a concept that would mirror the luxury high-end residential ‘look and feel’ of Ten Trinity Square, an iconic historical landmark building owned by the Reignwood Group.
The Vision
With strong references to luxury, the design had to combine elegance and glamour with comfort and workplace functionality.
The Design
The building’s stunning full height atrium forms a dramatic centrepiece to the building and this high-end style needed to continue throughout the organisation’s offices. A bespoke Carrara marble reception desk and a leather upholstered feature wall transforms the reception waiting area that has been furnished with luxury designer furnishings and bespoke joinery that cannot fail to impress visitors to the company’s offices.
An impressive back-lit aquarium installed in the long hallway leads to the president’s suite of private offices that are sited along an external wall at the end of the corridor, providing total privacy and windows that offer clear uninterrupted views of the city. The hallway also afforded the perfect opportunity to visually showcase the company’s growth, expansion, achievements, and historical milestones.
Internal elevations to all perimeter offices are glazed to allow light to penetrate through to the open plan working areas that retain a bright, modern yet timeless feel. A large formal boardroom sits at the heart of this organisation and makes a characteristic design statement with a quality custom-made boardroom table with integrated audio, hidden cable routing, and individual microphones poised for those all-important global conference calls.
The classic contemporary style of this project with its indulgent plush finishes and joinery was tailored to meet the client’s requirement, and successfully distinguishes it as one of the world’s most revered brands.
